Chrome Users to Receive Quick Toggle to Disable All Extensions

Google Chrome is the most widely used web browser for its convenience and a vast selection of browser extensions. However, some of these extensions can have the opposite effect of what is intended, causing issues like loading mobile versions of sites or even putting one’s security at risk. Thankfully, Google is working on a new menu that will allow users to disable all extensions at once with just one click.

This feature is made possible by commits found in the Chromium Gerrit, which are essentially pieces of code that allow the underlying functions of the browser to work. While the toggle is currently available in Chrome Canary, it is not yet functional. Once this feature is fully working, it will be a helpful tool for users who need to quickly disable their extensions to diagnose issues or take steps to ensure their security. It will also be useful for those who want to quickly block malicious extensions. 

Additionally, this feature could potentially save a lot of time, as users will no longer need to disable each extension manually. However, it is still unclear if the browser will automatically reload web pages after the toggle is used or if users will have to manually refresh each page.
